Miss Alvino, student teacher introduced Pi Day activities (because it was March 14, or 3.14). 
Students painted the numbers of Pi up to 80 digits. Art concepts included achieving color contrast, and students looked at the paintings of Jasper Johns, an abstract artist who specialized in paintings of numbers.
